Nice to see them coming down. ..... But long way to go to be great.
The 2.999 is motorhome cost 3.079 is for the over the road trucks.
Stop over in Gila Bend, AZ
We made it as far as Gila Bend, AZ and found a passport America park for $12.00 a night for full hookups and 50 amp. The Park is right behind a Shell Truck Stop that hadall of the dineasous around in the pictures.
Cris had laundry to do and we are killing time waiting on Kevin and Debby to make the trip down from Wisconsin. They got a very late start this year. We are looking forward to seeing them it has been over a year and a half since we have spent any time with them.. decided to spend 3 days here them headed to Phoenix for a short stay.
Moving day. leaving the dunes and great company.
We ended our week at the dunes and the great time we spent with Bill and Jay. We had a awesome visit. Looking forward to seeing them again next fall in Florida.
Thanks for everything Bill and Jay oh yes we can't forget little Stella.
A little off roading
Just a few miles from the dunes is a great mountain range to do some off roading. You can find all skill levels to trail ride. I did not do to much because I was along out there. Always need to make it back.
Old Plank Road 100 years old
Here are some pictures of the old Plank Road that wad the only way to get acrossed the Imperial Sand Dunes. It has some great history. Look it up on the Web. They are celebrating 100 years next month.
Glamis Sand Dunes
One day I took a ride up to Glamis to check it out. I did not go to comp hill. Just drove around and then followed along the train tracks back. Nice drive. The trains are very long through that area. On the way up I made a stop in Gold Rock. Did not go inside. I wish I would have as I found out later it is very cool history area.
Next time.
